site responsive installation, St.John's & Vancouver
On city streets I asked passers by to complete three phrases in their own handwriting. My culture has....... My culture is......... My culture will...... Their responses were duplicated in steel wire, then embedded in cast concrete blocks and installed around downtown St.John's. Within two days the heavy concrete blocks had all disappeared.
